Happy Handling Lessons
The Happy Handling program is a 4–6 week lesson course created to help dogs feel safe, calm, and confident during grooming and vet care. If your dog struggles with nail trims, brushing, or being handled, you are not alone—and there’s no need to feel embarrassed. Many caring owners face the same challenges, and these lessons are here to help, never to judge.
Sessions are one-to-one, allowing us to move at your dog’s pace in a relaxed, supportive environment where both you and your dog can feel comfortable.
What We’ll Work On Together
Cooperative Care, Gently Taught
Your dog will learn that they have a choice and can opt in to handling rather than feeling forced. This kind, reward-based approach helps reduce anxiety and build real confidence.
Everyday Handling Skills
We’ll calmly work through paws, nails, ears, mouth checks, brushing, bathing, and general body handling—always respecting your dog’s comfort level.
Confidence for Vet & Groomer Visits
The skills you learn together will help make trips to the vet or groomer feel far less stressful for everyone involved.
Creating a Calm Routine at Home
You’ll learn how to create a special “place”—such as a mat or grooming table—that becomes your dog’s safe, predictable spot for handling and grooming. This routine helps your dog know what to expect and feel more at ease.

A Gentle Note
This course is ideal for dogs who are nervous, unsure, or need help building confidence around handling.
Unfortunately, I’m not able to work with dogs showing aggressive behaviour. If you’re unsure whether this course is the right fit, please reach out—I’m always happy to have a friendly chat and help guide you.

No! Our Level 3 Diploma is designed for complete beginners.

Yes, all our courses are accredited by the iPET Network and recognised nationally.

Absolutely — many of our students go on to open successful grooming salons.
