K9 Pool FAQs
Everything you need to know before your private swim.
Will we have the pool to ourselves?
Yes. Every booking gives you private use of the pool for your household and your own dogs. You may bring a maximum of five dogs.
How long is a session?
Choose either 30 minutes for £17.50 or add another 30 minutes for a full hour at £27.50. Your booked time includes entering and leaving the pool area, so please be ready to leave by the stated finish time.
Is the pool heated or used for hydrotherapy?
The pool is not heated and is provided for fun and recreational swimming only. It is not a hydrotherapy service, and no lifeguard or hydrotherapist is present. Please ask your vet before booking if you are unsure whether swimming is suitable for your dog.
How should I prepare my dog?
Please arrive with your dog clean, brushed and toileted, and do not feed them within four hours of the session. Only dogs that are fit, healthy and free from contagious skin, eye, ear or other illnesses should attend.
How do dogs and people enter the pool?
Dogs must use the ramp and people must use the pool ladder. Jumping, diving or entering from the pool sides is not permitted. Do not push, throw or force a dog into the water.
Can children attend?
Children are welcome but must be closely supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Anyone entering the water must be able to swim, and children may only enter with a supervising adult during your private session.
What happens if we arrive late?
Your session must still finish at the original end time because the next customer may be arriving. Late bookings cannot be extended, so please allow enough time to arrive and prepare your dog.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Bookings are non-refundable. You may reschedule the same booking online up to two times, provided each change is made more than 24 hours before the session. Contact Knots & Tangles if exceptional circumstances require staff assistance. If Knots & Tangles cancels your session, you will be offered a new date or a refund.
Are life jackets and toys available?
Dog life jackets and pool toys are available. Please return them after use. You may bring your own clean, safe toys, but remember to take them away when you leave.
What are the behaviour and safety rules?
Keep dogs on a lead outside the pool area and place them back on a lead before leaving. Tell us before attending if a dog is reactive, aggressive or has a bite history. Owners remain responsible for their dogs, guests and belongings throughout the visit.
What happens if a dog fouls the pool?
Please toilet your dog before the session and clean up any accidents on the premises. If a dog fouls the pool, the session will end and a £100 specialist cleaning fee may apply.
